Shaping the future of Palestinian healthcare through training and education.
PalMed Academy, along with individual educators, endeavors to establish a dedicated program to support Palestinian medical students in Gaza. Their aim is to provide them with the necessary resources, training, evaluation, and opportunities to advance their education and contribute to the future healthcare workforce in the Gaza Strip.
The objective of this scheme is to deliver medical education through an online platform and other innovative means of content delivery, aligning with the curriculum of both medical schools in Gaza and catering to the needs of approximately 2500 students. This educational program will be accredited and supported by both Al Azhar University and the Islamic University of Gaza. Their online platform will serve as the primary mode of delivering medical education for both universities in the foreseeable future, with the endorsement of the Deans of Medicine from both institutions. They aim to collaborate closely with the universities to empower them and ensure the preservation of their institutions. Faculty members from the universities will be actively engaged, and we will also leverage the expertise of a global network of experts willing to support the process. Eventually, the management of the platform will transition back to the universities.
